Volunteers
SkillShare Volunteers are professionals from a variety of backgrounds who share a passion for making a difference. Many work full or part time, while others are retired, in career transition or work from home. Each SkillShare Volunteer offers a set of valuable skills obtained through considerable professional work experience and education in their respective fields of expertise, a quest for learning and an openness to working as a team.
If you are interested in joining us, the first step is to register as a Volunteer. We would love to hear from you if you:
- have qualifications or training in your area of expertise
- have at least three to five years experience in in your area of expertise
- are willing to commit to sharing your expertise with a Not-For-Profit organisation on a specific Project
- want to make new friends and contacts
- extend your experience by working with very passionate and enthusiastic people within the Not-For-Profit sector.

Our Volunteer Induction process is as follows:
- Complete our online Volunteer Registration - we encourage you to include your current CV and details of your relevant skills and experience so we can understand which new Projects will best suit you.
- Our Volunteer Coordinator will telephone you to complete a short telephone interview.
- If you are successful, you will be invited to view our SkillShare Volunteer Induction online and complete the online Quiz.
- Once you have successfully completed the Online Induction, you will be an official SkillShare Volunteer, ready to be matched with a relevant Project.
We encourage you to check our new Projects list regularly for Projects we are recruiting for and which you may like to apply directly for. The SkillShare Management Team may also contact you direct to discuss opportunities which are relevant to your skills and experience.
As a registered SkillShare Volunteer, you will receive our regular email newsletter, which will promote new Project opportunities and the latest news on our program.
